New Ventures at New Zealand

“It has been an amazing experience booking our trip to New Zealand with PYT. The best itinerary we could have asked for. Right from planning to visa to real-time support during our trip, communication was timely, planning was transparent.” Says our very happy customer Mr Dushyant Jaiswal.

Guess what will make a travel-buff like me the happiest? A dream destination or a perfect itinerary or timely booking or support round the clock. I found a company that offers the best of all the four important aspects. Initially, we had an idea to travel to the United States or Europe. But because of unfavourable weather, we switched our plan to visit New Zealand. One fine day, I got a call from team Pickyourtrail. I got to know in a brief about New Zealand from one of their destination experts. That call increased my expectations and excitement regarding the trip increased drastically. Luckily we had 12 days in hand so we wanted to taste every bit of New Zealand. We visited Auckland, Rotorua, Coromandel Town, Queenstown, Franz Josef and Christchurch.

Auckland

The harbour city of New Zealand was the first stop of our most awaited trip. This major city in the North Island full of superyachts, lined with bars and colourful cafes was so lively and energizing. We visited the iconic Auckland Sky Tower. The view of the city from a height of 220 metres above the street level was breathtakingly beautiful. From the most spectacular 360-degree Panoramic view spot, we were able to see up to 80 Kilometres in every direction. Do not miss to spot the key landmarks, volcanoes and other historical locations from the top. We also made our way to the exotic cafes and gift shops in the tower. Our initial days of the trip to Auckland were simply superb.

Rotorua

If Auckland is a man-made beauty, Rotorua is a natural marvel of the North Island. The moment we stepped into the Waitomo Glowworm caves, everything looked like a fairyland. New Zealand’s best natural attraction invited us with its sparkling natural glow. We were taken in a boat through the glow worm grotto. Marvelling at thousands of magical glowworms and becoming a part of 130 years of cultural and natural history for 40 minutes never made us tired. Our jaws dropped as we glided silently through nature’s light display and the starry wonderland of the Glowworm Grotto. I would recommend this activity with unique serene ambience and the tiny living lights in the subterranean world to everyone in Rotorua.

A couple in their trip to New Zealand

Our next stop in Rotorua was to Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. We experience the spectacular showcase of New Zealand’s most colourful and unique geothermal elements. Then We headed to the most peculiar Tamaki Maori village. Our journey back to a time of proud warriors and ancient traditions was the most memorable part of our trip.

Coromandel Town

Hobbiton Movie sets and Cathedral cove surprised us in Coromandel town. We took lots of cool pictures in the lush pastures, as seen in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. Our informative guide escorted us around the set. He showed us the intricate detailing, and spotted the most famous locations and explaining how the movie magic was made. We ended our day at one of the most picturesque spots in the Coromandel Peninsula, The Cathedral Cove.

Queenstown

We were so excited about our visit to the adventure city of New Zealand, Queenstown. This beautiful city carved out of the land by glaciers, rivers and lakes with innovative adventures and pioneers from all over the world added a crown to our trip.

Skyline Gondola

A Must-Do Queenstown Activity! We went on a scenic ride on the iconic gondola and took in the stunning views of the Southern Hemisphere. We thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular views and had a relaxing drink at the restaurant on the top of the cliff.

Milford Sound Cruise

After an exciting ride of Gondola in the adventure city, we made our way to the Milford sound on the next day. Exploring the beauty of fiord and surrounding arenas while sailing on the cruise was one Helluva experience for us. Our two little eyes were not sufficient to cover the entire beauty of the place. We were completely surrounded by Majestic mountains, lush green forests, snow-capped glaciers, crystal clear water. It was such a heavenly experience for us.

Jetboat ride and Onsen pools

Our last day in Queenstown was a mix of both adventure and leisure. The first half of our day was adventurous like crazy as we were fighting with the dashing water in our high-speed jet boat. By the end of this thrilling experience of Paddling through cascading water, we became tired. So we wanted a relaxing spa experience. We experienced a high-end luxury and serenity at the Onsen hot pools. The aroma of hot oil and scented candles with the amazing views of the mountains from the glass was such a memorable experience.

Franz Josef and Christchurch

Our last stops were the glacier city and the garden city of the South Island. The calmness and peace that the Lake Matheson offered were priceless. While driving through the two cities, we stopped our car at various pitstops and took lovely photographs that we would cherish for a lifetime. At a point, we were tired of stopping our car as every place on our way was so aesthetically beautiful.
