The Anse Intendance is spread across the southern part of the Mahe Island. Corals aren’t present here and so, the water is very deep. Swimming here is highly not suggested, unless or until you have an experience of swimming against huge waves. Unlike any other beach in Seychelles, Anse Intendance is not suited for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. However, it is the best place for sunbathing. The big waves are fun to watch and enjoy. The locals often enjoy surfing. The big waves serve as really a great condition for surfing and bodyboards. The coastline is bordered with coconut trees, thereby giving you good shade to escape from the heat. At the same time beware from dropping coconuts.

If you are visiting Anse Intendance, you are sure to feel the beach pretty much for yourself, similar to having a private beach party. Though this beach is not a great place to swim, the view it offers is stunning for a perfect romantic picnic, one great place to enjoy the sunset. It is also known for being the Wild beach in Seychelles.

1. This beach isn’t kid-friendly. If you are travelling with a kid, do not enter the waters. The waters are deep and it would be difficult for you to manage your kid along with yourself.
2. The waves can reach fearsome heights, especially during south-east trade winds. Plan your trip with keeping the season in mind.
