It was our honeymoon trip and we decided to head to the beautiful country of New Zealand. On our Day 1, we landed in Auckland in the morning, took some rest and headed to the sky scrapping Auckland Sky Tower. It was a completely exciting hub with dining, gaming, adrenaline activities and most importantly spectacular views. The breathtaking views of the city from a height of 328 metres above the street level were something out of the world. I would definitely recommend this attraction to everyone visiting Auckland.
Amidst the natural lights of Waitomo Glowworm Caves
Our next leg was to the unforgettable place in New Zealand, the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, one of the best caves that blew our mind. We went on a boat ride into a cave filled with thousands of magical glowworms hanging above. This peculiar natural attraction was one of its kind and we were amused to know about its 125-year-old history. The lights were magnetically attracting all our eyes throughout our trip. It was a whole new and exciting experience for us.
Traditional getaway at Tamaki Maori village
Our next stop to the Tamaki Maori village was so exciting and fun-filled. Our entertaining driver took us in a coach to the village. We strolled through the different learning houses and learnt about different aspects of the Maori culture. The final part of the activity was so engaging with songs, tribal dance and the famous Haka. This was a unique experience that we’ll cherish for a lifetime.

This geothermal attraction of New Zealand was an amazing experience as well. It was a fantastic area with easily accessible pathways and multi-coloured thermal pools and geysers. As first-time visitors, this place was so new and we thoroughly enjoyed the bubbling mud pools and steaming ponds. The way how the geyser was erupting was simply superb. This was one memorable experience during our honeymoon to New Zealand.
Wingless bird daring the wind- Skydive
Then comes my most favourite and thrilling adventure, the skydive experience in New Zealand. It was not an easy experience but it was completely worth it. Fighting against fear and hesitation was the beauty of this activity. As I experienced a sensory overload with my mind, body and soul fighting against all kinds of urge, I made my jump. But it was by far the best adventurous thing I’ve ever done in my life and I’m proud of doing it successfully. I would recommend everyone to experience it at least once in a lifetime.
Mind blown by the Milford Sound views
After finishing the amazing skydive, we fixed our mind that it was the best experience of our honeymoon trip to New Zealand. But our next activity broke the myth and proved that every single activity in New Zealand is the best of its own kind. We were amazed by the beautiful sights of the city as we were taken in a comfortable glass-roof coach. Once we stepped into the coach, we couldn’t believe our own eyes. Every single view was simply outstanding and we were completely lost amidst the best sights of nature. We took beautiful pictures in the lovely backdrop which is our all-time favourite one.
Peace at the pool
As we moved to Franz Josef, our next activity was the Glacier hot pools. It was a very good opportunity to relax and rejuvenate in the unspoilt beauty of nature. The beautiful rainforest covered with lush greeneries was a heavenly atmosphere where we enjoyed a completely romantic and secluded time. The natural tranquillity that the pool offered was one amazingly beautiful experience.
Walking our hearts out at the glaciers
Our final activity at Franz Josef was the Glacier valley walk. As we walked across the glacier trail, dramatic scenery and changing landscapes attracted us. The best hiking trails of New Zealand surprised us with its stunning views and jaw-dropping beauty. As we started from the Waiho River bed and trespassed through the naturally crafted glaciers we took in the utmost beauty of the country.
The Christchurch charm
We ended our trip with the charm of the garden city. The beautiful city was a mix of art, adventure and optimism. The dramatic vistas, lofty peaks and well-maintained gardens were a treat to the eyes. From lush vineyards and wild coastlines to sky-piercing mountains and pristine glacial lakes, Christchurch surprised us every single moment. We could just simply sit and look at the turquoise lakes touching the gigantic southern Alps. Christchurch was one amazing place that everyone must-visit when in New Zealand.
