How To Reach Bali Bird Park

The Bali bird park is situated in the Gianyar district of central Bali. The bird park is located approximately 12km from the airport. If you are staying at Kuta or Denpasar, it can be reached in about 40 to 60 minutes by drive based on live traffic. If you are staying at Ubud, you will be able to reach the Bird park in about 20 to 30 minutes. 

The Bird Park is a very famous tourist attraction and very easy to locate. Bali in May to October can get quite busy and crowded with a lot of tourists and families flocking the place. 

The most suggested mode of transportation is to get a car hire for the day and visit the bird park and other nearby attractions. If you want to reach on your own, you can also rent a scooter or take the Kura-Kura shuttle bus to reach the place.

The Bali bird park is segregated into two parts, The Bird Park and the Reptile Park. The entry to the Bird park is 1830 INR ( 385,000 IDR ) per adult and 915 INR ( 192,500 IDR ) per child. The reptile park is much lesser at 475 INR ( 100,000 IDR ) per adult and 237 INR ( 50,000 IDR ) per child. 

The Entrance fees of the Bali bird park covers all the activities and shows that are available. One just has to pick the right time slot and plan accordingly. 

If you are interested in taking pictures with the birds, it is free of cost if you do it on your camera. The Bali bird park also has professional photographers who can get it done for you at a cost of approximately 150,000 IDR/picture.

The Bali bird park is open to the public from 9 AM till 5:30 PM. A complete exploration of the park can take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. There are also many shows and activities that you can plan your visit around i.e the 4D cinema starts at 10 AM, The Komodo dragon feeding is only on Tuesday and Friday at 2:30 PM etc.

  1. The Bali bird park might not be for everyone. Whilst it might be enjoyed by families with kids and people who are interested in birds, it might not be enjoyed by couples who are having their honeymoon in Bali, or by a group of friends who prefer something more adventurous.
