Since there is no direct flight to Ha Long Bay, Hanoi international airport is the nearest airport. The major airline operator (to Hanoi) is Thai Airways, which operates from many Metro cities across India.

Halong Bay is easily reachable from nearby international cities. These are some international airports easily connected to Hanoi City- Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Bali and Singapore.

Public Transport at halong-bay

Train: take Cargo train from Hanoi to Yen Vien (Gia Lam) and then to Ha long Bay. The train starts at 4.30 am and arrives at 11am. The terminal at Ha Long City is near the Bai Chay bus station and about 5 km away from the harbor.
